Stella draw on blues, jazz, soul, gospel and rock ‘n’ roll influences to create a unique and eclectic concoction of sonic brilliance. 

In 2013, inspired by influences from Ray Charles to Puccini, Stella and her band “The Shakes", formerly known as StellaStar, released their debut EP, “Blossom”, to great acclaim from the music community.

Stella trained as an opera singer at the Royal Northern College of Music but it is her ability to sing both classical and contemporary music that sets her apart as an artiste. Her voice blends the passion and precision of her classical training with the soulfulness and freedom of her own words and music.
